As the telemarketer, you will make proactive sales calls, and market products and services by phone, to various potential clients. As part of the role you will maintain a thorough understanding of products and services, process sales and meet sales goals.
A successful telemarketer must be friendly and persuasive. You must be able to understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs.
The role requires discipline to focus on being proactive and focused on the telesales task at hand, it will be a core part of the sales function delivering continuous results.
Responsibilities:
- Generating new leads, contacting primarily by phone to establish decision makers' contact details, understand partnership opportunities, present product offerings, and book VC or in-person meetings.
- Development of current customers, introduce product launches and project focuses, by phone and email.
- Make outgoing customer calls or cold calls to sell our clients core service whilst understanding the scope of the opportunity
- Maintain accurate record on the CRM of potential leads and follow up with those customers by making subsequent sales pitches
Skills and experience
- Previous telemarketing/sales experience in product Sales/Business Development role required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hard-working, self-motivated, well organised, target-driven, and have a can-do attitude.
- Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Activity and outcome incentive scheme based on projects or focus work
- Proven experience as a telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
- Proven track record of successfully making sales over the phone
- Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software and Microsoft suite)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Skilled in negotiation
- Persistent and results-oriented
- Patient and able to handle customer rejection
- Comfortable working as part of a team or alone and under pressure, and able to form and maintain relationships at all levels
This role is working Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm. The salary our client is offering is between £28,000p/and £34,000p/a. There will also be a performance related bonus.
